Introduction

Welcome to 2024 you’ve made it another year, And you are starting the year right by reading this blog, Today I’m going to be talking about all the website security trends that are on the rise and likely to emerge in 2024. I’m going to be going over security trends such as Intelligence AI, zero-trust architecture, API security, and IoT Security. These security application’s usage has been increasing over the years because of their efficient serviceability and simple functionality.

Zero-trust architecture

Zero-trust architecture Security

What’s zero-trust architecture? Well, zero trust architecture is when a website doesn’t fully trust any person you have to go through a verification process, Trust is obtained and recourses aren’t given to anybody even if requesting access from the same IP address, device, phone number, and or email address. Some cons of this include extensive labor you need a group of people/team to check the verification process of each individual person which can be very time-consuming and straining. Another con of zero trust architecture is the cost just having the server for the verification process can cost you a pretty penny. Let’s get to the pros of having a zero trust architecture security for a website. A zero trust architecture allows for high performance of security as it makes sure that every individual person has to verify their self leading to a safer website and it also allows for fewer bots.

Security Intelligence AI

Intelligence AI Security

There are many uprising website security trends but if I had to state honestly what my favorite is, I’d be lying if I said anything besides intelligence AI. With the rapid growth of artificial intelligence this year they’ve made it through to website security also. AI intelligence is not just one application it’s a whole genre. There are many cons to security intelligence AI such as hackers, viruses, and the rapid need for change but there are also many more pros to security intelligence AI such as rapidly expanding its own knowledge base, Reaching many problem points at once, and consistent long-term protection.

API security

API security

What is API security? API security is short for Application programming interface security.  API security is when protection/security is prioritized for the website APIs that are used to share data with other systems, devices, and applications it makes sure that private data can only be accessed by authorized users some cons of giving a website API security is that it can make configuring a website overly complicated and time-consuming as it encrypts files and makes you authenticate yourself to do certain things, Another disadvantage is that if it’s not applied correctly to a website it can severely slow down website performance. Now a pro of API security is that it’s known for helping security overall which lets webbers know that their security is taken care of nicely on the website.

IoT Security

IoT Security

(Internet of Things) IoT security focuses on protecting data exchanges between IoT devices and the servers of the website. IoT security does this by encrypting data transmitted from IoT devices to other applications and vice versa. Some cons of IoT security include its complexity like API security, Also if it’s not managed properly it can lead to compatibility problems for diverse kinds of IoT devices. Some pros of IoT security include its ability to enhance security overall not just website security and it also helps ensure the privacy of user’s information.

Conclusion

Security

I want to quickly go over all of the security applications mentioned in my blog. Zero-trust architecture is like a door lock it makes sure you verify yourself no matter who you are, Intelligence AI is like having a smart babysitter that’s always watching after your child and understanding what they need, API security is Like a bodyguard that protects its client so they can do their thing, and last but not least IoT Security is like whispering to your friend so that others can’t eavesdrop on your conversation. I hope my blog was helpful and understand that the security trends mentioned in my blog are all my inferences based on recent statistics. For more blogs Click me!
